Cupped Shingles

When a shingle shows raised corners and edges and has become concave in the middle, it’s referred to as a cupped shingle. These shingles are brittle and weak. Age and wear are the usual causes, but this can also happen when there is insufficient attic ventilation, and the resultant heat affects the shingles.
