What is the difference between using hot or cold roofing adhesive?

Hot adhesives are polymer modified bitumen or rubberized asphalt used to provide remarkable waterproofing and bonding for the layers of materials used in low slope and flat roofs. It elongates well at high temperatures to spread out easily. Cold adhesive is coal tar based polyether polymer and cured rapidly using moisture. It is VOC or solvent free making it the preferred method for commercial use. It is more flexible at colder temperatures and resists UV rays.
